This is a view of how clear the water is in Mangrove Cay, South Andros Island, Bahamas: our bonefish paradise. If you want to have a look at a few fish in the deep blue water this photo is pretty good.

Better yet is to come spend a few days with us here at Blue Hole Cabin.

Flats and Blue Water Big Game Fishing Supreme

Flies-you-will-need

Veteran guides, quality boats, clean comfortable accomodations

Welcome to the home of the biggest fish in the Bahamas. We're not a busy and crowded bonefish lodge. We're a clean, roomy and deluxe one party at-a-time private beach side cabin--sleeping up to six adults comfortably. Bluehole Cabin is the most spectacularly private, comfortable and convenient way to vacation in the Bahamas you can find.

There is no limit to the size of the fish you can catch here at Bluehole Cabin. It just doesn't get any better than this. We have veteran guides, top-knotch boats, beautiful accomodations and home-cooked island food. We do blue water big game fishing as well as stalking the flats for bonefish, barracuda, tarpon, permit and jacks.

Fishing the Flats

South Andros Island is the largest island in the Bahamas. Most of South Andros is still an undeveloped, untouched wilderness paradise: home to one of the world's largest natural bird sanctuaries, no poisonous snakes of any kind, huge (vegetarian) iquanas and vast fresh and brackish water spawning habitats for the northern carribean ocean.

releasing-fish.jpg

We like to release bonefish carefully, doing our best handle the slime-covered skin as little as possible. It is the bonefish's slime layered skin that allows it to swim so fast and to slip so easily through the water--and to get away from predators.

Native conch salad with a cold kalik is the thing to do at Sidney's conch stall. It is a Bahamian ting! Marisa here in the picture will be pleased to slice and dice and open you up one of these combos.
